“‘Both are players that engage in complex, strategic behavior,’ Feldman said. ‘That’s what the patent litigation system leaves room for, and that’s what’s dominating courts right now.’”
“‘Recent academic research suggests no other area of U.S. litigation has the same cash-targeting behavior as patent law,’ Feldman said. ‘Not torts, not environmental, not securities, nowhere do you see behavior driven by who’s got deep pockets to the same extent you see in patent litigation.’”
