John Crawford joined the Hastings faculty in 2011, after serving as a lecturer and teaching fellow at Stanford Law School. Prior to his fellowship, he worked as a corporate associate at Davis Polk & Wardwell and clerked for the Honorable John T. Noonan, Jr., of the United States Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit in San Francisco. Before law school, he served as a Peace Corps volunteer in Haiti and worked at an international development consulting firm. Professor Crawford’s current research focuses on the regulation of financial markets and institutions. In addition to U.S. corporate and securities law, his interests include business and property law reform efforts in developing and emerging markets.
